Located inside Expo 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park (Moricoro Park), Ghibli Park is a themed facility that recreates the worlds of Studio Ghibli’s works through both indoor and outdoor areas. Centered around five main zones — Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse, Hill of Youth, Dondoko Forest, Mononoke Village, and Valley of Witches — it offers exhibitions, hands-on experiences, shops, and cafés.

Admission is by advance reservation only. In particular, Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse has timed-entry tickets, so be sure to check the calendar and ticket information for your planned visit date.

Opening hours are generally 10:00–17:00 on weekdays and 9:00–17:00 on weekends and holidays, with extended hours until 20:00 on certain summer days. The park is usually closed on Tuesdays (or the following day if Tuesday is a public holiday).

Highlights of Ghibli Park

The indoor centerpiece, Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse, houses a video exhibition room, special exhibitions, shops, and cafés. You can encounter photogenic recreations of famous Ghibli scenes and find exclusive merchandise.

In the outdoor areas, you can enjoy Hill of Youth (Whisper of the Heart), Dondoko Forest (Satsuki and Mei’s House), Mononoke Village, and the newly opened Valley of Witches (2024, Howl’s Moving Castle). Entry to each area and access to building interiors vary depending on the type of pass, so please check your ticket conditions in advance.

During busy periods such as summer holidays, certain areas may have extended hours until 20:00. Check the latest information before your visit.

Recommended Route for Enjoying Ghibli Park

1) Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse (Main Indoor Area)

This area requires timed-entry admission. Once inside, enjoy the exhibition rooms, video programs, shops, and cafés. On days of bad weather, it’s a good idea to start here first for peace of mind.

2) Hill of Youth (Earth Shop / Rotary)

A small hill area where you can experience the world of “Whisper of the Heart.”
Access to building interiors varies depending on the type of pass, so be sure to check in advance.

3) Dondoko Forest (Satsuki and Mei’s House) (Approx. 40 minutes)

Experience the world of “My Neighbor Totoro.” The surrounding walking paths are peaceful and offer plenty of photo-worthy spots.

4) Mononoke Village (Approx. 30 minutes)

Enjoy the satoyama (countryside) scenery and hands-on experiences. During busy times, entrance queues may form, so it’s best to visit before peak hours.

5) Valley of Witches (Howl’s Moving Castle, etc.) (Approx. 40 minutes)

A new area opened in 2024. It brings together spots, food, and shops where you can feel the worlds of Howl and Kiki.。
